Adam Hamm is the current North Dakota Commissioner of Insurance. Hamm, a Republican, was first appointed to the office in October 2007 by Gov. John Hoeven, and was elected to a full, four-year term in November 2008.[1] He was re-elected in 2012.[2]

Biography

Following his graduation from law school, Hamm became an Assistant Cass County State’s Attorney working on personal crimes. At the beginning of 2002, he moved into private practice and remained in this position until he was named North Dakota's Insurance Commissioner in 2007.[3]

Hamm won re-election in 2012. He was unopposed in the primary election and defeated Democrat Tom Potter in the November 6th general election.[2][4]
