Brown graduated from Richland Community College in 2005 and he earned his B.S. in Farm & Financial Management and Agribusiness from the University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana in 2007. His professional experience includes working as a farmer and for the Illinois Department of Agriculture's Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS) and the USDA's Foreign Agricultural Service.
