Campaign themes

Yoest's campaign website highlights the following issues:[2]

Gun Control

  • Excerpt: "I will always vote to protect our gun rights and will always fight to ensure that citizens of Washington State have the ability to protect their families and neighborhoods."

Business Friendly Government

  • Excerpt: "Government must encourage business growth and job creation, not inhibit success. Let's unleash private enterprise and restrain government through review and repeal of excessive regulation."

  • Excerpt: "Education decisions should remain in the hands of parents, teachers, and local school boards. Teaching a child is the job of parents and teachers, not the government."

Property Rights

  • Excerpt: "Citizens have continuously seen their government limit how they may use their property. All citizens must have the right to use their property to its greatest potential."

  • Excerpt: "I would support any measure that reduces government spending and taxation. I also propose to the legislature that we let the people be heard and act to make the 2/3 majority requirement constitutional amendment the first piece of legislation passed by the 2015 Legislative Session."
