The ballot summary said,
The proposition would amend the State Constitution in order to change the name of the secretary of state to lieutenant governor. All powers and duties of the office remain the same as under present constitutional language.
Changes to the Alaska Constitution
The passing of Alaska Lieutenant Governor/Secretary of State, Amendment 3 amended Article III, Sections 7 through 11 and Sections 13 through 15, Article XI, Sections 2 through 6, Article XIII, Sections 1 and 3 and Article XV, Section 9 of the Alaska Constitution.
