Website Campaign Site
Allen Hoffman is a Republican candidate in the 2011 special election for District 20 of the Connecticut House of Representatives. The special election takes place on February 22, 2011. Hoffman is running to fill the vacancy created after David D. McCluskey (D) resigned to take a position on the Board of Pardon and Paroles.[1]

Hoffman served as State Representative for District 20 from 1995-1996. In addition, he has been a member of the Elmwood School PTA and president of the PT Council. He graduated from the Hartt School of Music with two degrees in music, working as an adjunct professor and composer. He and his wife Lynn have three children.[2]

Campaign themes

2011

Hoffman's 2011 special election campaign site emphasizes several key policy positions and campaign themes:

  • "For forty years, I have lived in West Hartford and served our community as your State Representative in 1995-1996 and volunteered on local, regional, and state boards and commissions as well as local and state taxpayer organizations. Now, I would like to take my dedication to improving the lives of West Hartford families and businesses back to the State Capitol. Our state is in desperate need of fiscally responsible leadership. As a staunch opponent of increased taxes, I will work hard to keep our families and businesses thriving. I hope you will follow our campaign online, and I hope to meet you personally as I go door to door before the February 22nd election!"
