The Alliance for California's Renewal is a ballot measure political committee in California. The committee was formed in October 2007 to oppose Proposition 93, a ballot question that will appear on the February 5, 2008 California special presidential primary ballot.

U.S. Term Limits announced that it had donated $1.5 million to the Alliance for California's Renewal, as did Steve Poizner.[1]

Funding disclosure

The group is facing questions for not disclosing a list of the individual donors from the $1.5 million donated by U.S. Term Limits. "Voters deserve as much information as possible," said Sarah Rose, representing the California League of Conservation Voters. The Ballot Initiative Strategy Center has come out strongly against not disclosing the donors.[2]

U.S. Term Limits has said it is not legally required to disclose individual donors and chooses not to do so, partly out of respect for their privacy and possibility of retribution for endorsing term limits.
