Amos Scott Powers was a 2014 Democratic candidate seeking election to the U.S. House to represent the 6th Congressional District of Tennessee.[1] He ran unopposed in the Democratic primary.[2] He was defeated by incumbent Diane Black (R) in the general election on November 4, 2014.[3]

Biography

Powers earned his B.A. in political science from Tennessee Tech University. He is currently working towards a M.A. in diplomacy. He served for two years in the AmeriCorps Program.[4]
