Angela Sinkler holds an at-large seat on the Bethlehem Area school board. She first won election to the board on November 5, 2013.

Biography

Sinkler works in the open heart unit of a Bethlehem hospital and serves on the education, scheduling, and performance improvement committees. Her husband is a biology teacher in the Southern Lehigh School District. Sinkler acted as the Parent Teacher Association secretary and fundraising chairperson, as a Girl Scout leader, and has served on the district's Parent Advisory Committee. She is also the secretary and member of the board of directors for the Pennsylvania Youth Theatre.[1]

Sinkler reported no contributions or expenditures to the Lehigh County Voter Registration department.[2]

What was at stake?

Five seats were up for re-election in 2013, including board president Michael Faccinetto and appointed member Shannon Patrick's region two seat. Patrick was appointed to the board in 2011 following fellow board member, Michael Cann's, win of both the at-large and region two seats. The region two seat will be up for election again in 2015. Board members Irene Follweiler, William Burkhardt and Aurea Ortiz all did not to seek re-election.[3]
