The signature-filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was March 25, 2014. Angie Filbeck was unopposed in the Democratic primary. Incumbent Lincoln Hough was unopposed in the Republican primary. Hough faced Filbeck in the general election.[2][3] Incumbent Hough defeated Filbeck in the general election.[4]
