Text of measure

Official title

An act relating to alcoholic beverages; providing for deposit and refund for certain beverage containers; prescribing refund values and refund procedures; prohibiting sale of certain containers and container attachments; providing for redemption centers; providing for dealer and redemption center reimbursement from distributor.[1][2]

Descriptive title

An act proposed by Initiative Petition; amending Arizona Revised Statutes, Title 4, by adding Chapter 3, providing for deposit and refund for certain beverage containers; redemption centers; providing an appropriation for studying effectiveness; prohibiting certain types of containers and labeling requirements; requiring deposits and refunds for certain beverage containers and an effective date of December 31, 1983.

A " yes" vote shall have the effect of requiring deposits and refunds for certain beverage containers.

A " no" vote shall have the effect of not establishing a deposit and refund system on certain beverage containers.[1][2]
