An Arizona Definition of Marriage Amendment may appear as an initiated constitutional amendment on the ballot in Arizona for the general election on November 4, 2014. The measure, which is sponsored by the group Equal Marriage Arizona, would ask voters to decide whether or not language in the state constitution should be amended to legalize same-sex marriage. Five years ago, voters approved language in the constitution defining marriage as between one man and one woman, thereby banning same-sex marriage.[1]
