The Arizona Governor Appoints State Board of Education Amendment, also known as Proposition 3, was on the September 12, 1950 ballot in Arizona as an initiated constitutional amendment, where it was defeated. The measure would have empowered the governor to appoint the members of the State Board of Education.[1]
