The Arizona Local Option for Alcohol Act, also known as Proposition 8, was on the September 12, 1950 ballot in Arizona as an initiated state statute, where it was defeated. The measure would have allowed for county or municipal elections to determine the legality of intoxicating alcoholic beverages within respective jurisdictions.[1]
