The Arizona Increase State Legislative Salaries Amendment, also known as Proposition 1, was on the September 9, 1958 ballot in Arizona as a legislatively-referred constitutional amendment, where it was approved. The measure increased state legislators’ salaries to $1,800 for regular sessions and $20 per day for twenty days for special sessions and meetings and limited annual salaries to a maximum of $3,600.
