Text of measure
AN ACT RELATING TO COUNTIES; PROVIDING FOR FIVE MEMBERS ON COUNTY BOARDS OF SUPERVISORS IN COUNTIES HAVING A POPULATION OF TWO HUNDRED THOUSAND OR MORE; PROVIDING FOR THREE MEMBERS ON COUNTY BOARDS OF SUPERVISORS IN COUNTIES HAVING A POPULATION OF LESS THAN TWO HUNDRED THOUSAND; PROVIDING PROCEDURE FOR CHANGES TO OR FROM FIVE·MEMBER BOARDS IN COUNTIES HAVING A POPULATION OF LESS THAN TWO HUNDRED THOU-SAND; PROVIDING FOR REDISTICTING EACH FOUR YEARS; PROVIDING FOR THE APPOINTMENT OF A COUNTY REAPPORTION: MENT COMMITTEE WHICH SHALL HAVE AUTHORITY TO ESTABLISH SUPERVISORIAL DISTRICTS; PROVIDING FOR APPEAL OF DETERMINATION BY COMMITTEE; PROVIDING FOR COURT ACTIQN IF COMMITTEE FAILS TO MAKE A DETERMINA~ TION; PROVIDING THAT IN 1968 ELECTION TWO MEMBERS OF FIVE-MEMBER BOARDS SHALL BE ELECTED AT LARGE, AND AMENDING SECTIONS 11-211 AND 11-212, ARIZONA REVISED STATUTES.
Amending Sections 11-211, 11-212 A.R.S. providing for three and five member Boards of Supervisors according to state county populations; providing for changes and procedures for changes; for redistricting each four years; for appointment of a county reapportionment committee; and for court supervision of such committee. If you favor the above law, vote YES; if opposed, vote NO.
