Little Rock, Arkansas: The Arkansas State Senate passed a bill that would require random drug testing for unemployment recipients on April 8. The legislation will now move to a House committee for consideration. This legislation would require anyone requesting unemployment benefits to sign a waiver allowing for random drug testing. Anyone who refuses to sign the waiver or tests positive for drugs would not receive unemployment benefits. If it passes the House and is signed by the governor, this law would effect around 85,000 people across the state.[1]
