Avery Ayers was a 2014 Independent candidate who sought election to the U.S. Senate from Texas.[1] However, Ayers did not make it onto the general election ballot.[2]


Ayers holds a B.S. in Business Administration and an MBA. He served in the U.S. Air Force for seven years and was honorably discharged. Ayers is currently the president and CEO of a non-profit based in Houston.[3]
