An Avon City Lot Size Charter Amendment measure was on the November 8, 2011 ballot in the city of Avon which is in Lorain County.

This measure was approved

  • YES 5,484 (76.74%)Approveda
  • NO 1,662 (23.26%)[1]

This measure sought to amend the city charter, establishing a minimum lot size for future subdivisions within the city limits. The set lot size will be 15,000 square feet with a minimum width of 100 feet. City officials noted that the previously built 'cluster housing' divisions were a mistake in the city and hope that this amendment will prevent that from happening again.[2]
