Ballotpedia's Tuesday Count has skyrocketed to a total of 83 ballot measures in 29 states. In the past week, eight measures were certified for the 2010 ballot. Two measures were certified in Arizona, three in Idaho, one in South Dakota, one in Tennessee and one in Maine. Six of the eight measures were legislatively-referred constitutional amendments, while the South Dakota Medical Marijuana Act and the Maine Oxford Casino Initiative were initiated state statutes.

Last week an Alaska Superior Court judge ruled that Alaska Parental Notification Initiative language must be rewritten before proceeding to the ballot. However, despite having enough signatures, the measure remains pending legislative action before proceeding to the August 24, 2010 primary election ballot. In Colorado, personhood initiative supporters filed an additional 46,671 signatures, pushing the group past the minimum number of required signatures. The initiative remains pending signature verification.
