On October 4, Ballotpedia staff writer Bailey Ludlam will travel to Maine to cover state Questions 1, 2, and 4. Bailey will conduct interviews in both Portland and Augusta throughout her week-long reporting trip.
- Reporting every day on latest interviews, rallies and other notable news regarding each ballot measure.
- Researching past amendments made to the Maine Constitution
- Featuring both supporters and opponents on each ballot measure.
- Keeping all information gathered on a specially created Maine journal that will be posted on Ballotpedia starting on Monday
Maine’s Questions 1, 2, and 4 highlight some of the state's most talked about issues. Polls released this month on Question 1 reveal that in late September, popular sentiment is almost evenly split. In a campaign that many observers see as the next big battle over marriage, television ads are already on the air along with charges, counter-charges and fact-checking as voters prepare to render their verdict.
If there are any questions, comments or suggestions, please direct them to Bailey at BDLudlam@ballotpedia.org. You can get to know a little more of Bailey's background on her user page. Keep a close watch for her journal as she gets a full-time immersion into the world of ballot measure campaigning!
