The Congress Project is a Ballotpedia work project designed to improve, expand and organize articles about the U.S. Congress.

There are six main types of articles:

  1. Profiles about the 535 current members of Congress.
  2. Profiles of candidates for Congress.
  3. Profiles of the 435 Congressional Districts.
  4. Articles that are overviews of elections.
  5. Profiles of the Congressional committees
  6. Features of U.S. Congress such as historical session information and leadership pages

The sections below discuss each type of article, and direct the reader to additional resources for researching and writing each type of article, as well as outlining the templates most frequently used in this project.
