Ballotpedia:WikiProject School candidate guidelines/Intro
This style guide describes how to add an introduction to a school candidate page on Ballotpedia.
Every candidate page begins with an introductory paragraph outlining the candidate's relationship to the school board and major campaign themes. This introduction should be kept brief with a maximum of four sentences. The first sentence should refer to the candidate by first and last name. Each section following the introduction should refer to the candidate by last name. The introductory section should touch on the following categories:
- Incumbent or challenger for seat
- District number/letter or at-large seat
- Name of school board with link to school district page
- State where the school district is located
- Date of election with link to election overview page
- Opposition or unopposed for seat
