Discussion Questions

Is the disclosure of a conflict of interest mandatory, optional, or recommended?

Mandatory

My preference is for a mandatory disclosure policy, and that this article be revised to include this section with a separate header category cleverly titled "Mandatory Disclosure." azdavidpedia 10:11, 5 May 2009 (CDT)

Does providing a financial contribution to a ballot initiative create a conflict of interest?

Yes

Any editor who has given money to a campaign should disclose that fact as per the policy. azdavidpedia 10:13, 5 May 2009 (CDT)

Does coming to a conclusion about how you intend to vote on a ballot initiative create a conflict of interest?

Maybe

I don't believe that it rises to the level of mandatory disclosure, however this scenario should be discussed in the policy. azdavidpedia 10:18, 5 May 2009 (CDT)
