According to Barry Hinkley's website, his campaign themes included:
- Replacing the Tax code; "Introduce a new code with focus on simplification, broadening the base, taxing the cash economy, encouraging international competitiveness and attracting capital to America..."
- Afghanistan; "At a time when the US Government was defeated by a debt crisis and American schools and roads are crumbling, we can no longer afford to borrow nearly 40 cents on the dollar to pay for schools and roads in Afghanistan."
- Women's Rights; "I respect and support a woman’s right to make this choice for herself and I support existing Rhode Island law on this issue."[1]
