Bernard Parks is a member of the Los Angeles, California City Council, representing District 8. He was first elected to the council in 2003 and was re-elected in 2007 and 2011.

Before becoming a member of city council, Parks served as the Chief of Police in Los Angeles from 1997 to 2003.[1]

Biography

Parks holds a B.S. from Pepperdine University and a M.P.A. from the University of Southern California. His professional experience includes working as a police officer in Los Angeles from 1965 to 2003.[1]
