Berthoud Town Bill & Ordinance Publishing Questions, 2 (April 2012)

Two Berthoud Town Bill & Ordinance Publishing Questions were on the April 3, 2012 ballot in the town of Berthoud which is in Larimer and Weld Counties.

Both measures were approved.[1]

The first measure sought to allow the town to post bill payment information only on its website, rather than spend the money to print the information in the local newspaper.

The second measure sought to allow the town to only publish a new ordinance's title in the newspaper rather than the entire ordinance. The full text of the new ordinance would be available on the town website as well as at the Town Hall.

These two measures will save the town money by reducing printing costs for both bills and ordinances. Town officials pointed out that other towns had already implemented these cost-saving measures and hoped residents would do the same.[2]
