William G. Hartman (b. April 4, 1948) is a Democratic member of the West Virginia House of Delegates, representing District 43. He was first elected to the chamber in 2002.

Biography

Hartman earned his B.A. from West Virginia University. Hartman has served in the West Virginia Army National Guard. He has also worked as an independent insurance agent.[1]

Elections for the office of West Virginia House of Delegates will consist of a primary election on May 13, 2014, and a general election on November 4, 2014. The signature-filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was January 25, 2014. Incumbents Denise L. Campbell and Bill Hartman are unopposed in the Democratic primary. Mary Catherine Boltz will face Charles Kinnison and Lonnie Randall in the Republican primary.

Hartman was re-elected to the West Virginia House of Delegates District 37. He defeated Republican Joan Hinzman Sharp. Hartman was one of three candidates running for the two District 37 Delegate positions on the ballot in the November 2, 2010 general election. He defeated Democrats Paul "P.J." Louk, Earl w. Maxwell, Robbie Morris, and Kent "KP" Price in the May 11 primary. The two top vote-getters were elected.[5][6][7]
