The question on the ballot:

Shall the Board of Education of Blue Ridge Community Unit School District Number 18, DeWitt, Piatt and McLean Counties, Illinois, build and equip an addition to, improve the site of, alter, repair and equip the Blue Ridge Junior High School building and demolish the Blue Ridge Mansfield Elementary School building and issue bonds of said School District to the amount of $6,500,000 for the purpose of paying the costs thereof?[3]
