The general election will take place on November 4, 2014. The signature-filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was March 7, 2014. Incumbent Kimberly A. Alexander was unopposed in the Democratic primary, while R.J. "Bob" Snelling was unopposed in the Republican primary. Alexander will face Snelling in the general election.[2][3]

Snelling ran in the 2012 election for Georgia House of Representatives District 66. Snelling and Michael Miller defeated Mickey Thompson in the Republican primary on July 31, 2012, moving on to an August 21 runoff. Snelling defeated Michael Miller in the Republican runoff primary.[4] Kimberly Alexander ran unopposed in the Democratic primary. The general election took place on November 6, 2012.[5][6][7] Snelling was defeated in the general election.
