DANBURY, Connecticut: Mark Boughton, current mayor of Danbury, Connecticut, formed an exploratory committee in the Connecticut governor's race on Wednesday. He made the announcement at Danbury High School, where he attended school and later taught.[1]

"We have surveyed the field and right now. Of the candidates who are out there, no one, including the governor we currently have, understand what the working men and women of the state are going through," Boughton said about the governor's race.[1]

Boughton said he will make his final decision about entering the race by January 1.[1]
