A Boulder City Climate Action Plan Tax Increase measure was on the November 1, 2011 ballot in the city of Boulder which is in Boulder County.

This measure was approved

  • NO 12,996 (49.73%)[1]

This measure sought to crease the current electricity rate, the current rate would expire in 2013. The rate now paid by customers is $.49 per kilowatt hour and the increase would raise that to $.99 per kilowatt hour. The increase money will go towards paying additional fees the city expects in creating the new electricity utility. Without an additional source of funds the new utility would not be able to function.[2]
