Boulder City Excise Tax Extension Question (November 2012)
This question authorized the City of Boulder to extend taxes on electricity consumed from its current expiration date of March 31, 2013 to March 31, 2018. The rates of these taxes are $0.0049 per KWH for Residential, $0.0009 per KWH for Commercial, and $0.0003 per KWH for Industrial customers. This revenue will be used to expand the use of renewable energy and improve energy efficiency.
