Boulder County District Attorney Term Limit Extension (November 2009)

There was a Boulder County District Attorney Term Limit Extension on the November 3 ballot in Boulder County.

The measure sought to extend the District Attorney's term limit from two terms to three. It passed with a slim margin in a recount vote.

  • NO 29,958[1]

Aftermath

The recount confirmed the passing of this measure by 12 votes. The current District Attorney personally donated $3,050 to the YES campaign, out of a total of $3,775 collected for the campaign. The current District Attorny publicly said that even though this did pass he was not sure he would even run again after his first term ended. Denver and Weld counties are the only other counties in Colorado that have a three term limit now.[2]
