Caridad Rodriguez is a former Democratic member of the New Jersey General Assembly, representing District 33 from 2008 till her resignation in May 2011. She resigned to become the West New York Commissioner.[1] She served as Deputy Majority Leader while in office.

Prior to her election to the Assembly, Rodriguez served as Commissioner of Parks and Public Property for the town of West New York from 2006 to 2007.[2]

Rodriguez did not seek re-election in 2011. Her home was re-drawn out of the 33rd District during the 2011 redistricting process.[4]

Rodriguez successfully won re-election in the November 3, 2009, general election. She was bracketed with Ruben Ramos, Jr. and defeated Republican challengers Beth Hamburger and John Barbadillo.[5][6]
