Cassville Exceed Revenue Limit (2008)

The Cassville Exceed Revenue Limits referendum was on the April 1, 2008 ballot in the School District of Cassville, which is in Grant County. The purpose of the referendum was to exceed the state-set revenue cap by $3,900,000, with the additional funds being directed to the school budget. The additional funds will be used to meet the basic operating costs of the district.

Text of measure

BE IT RESOLVED by the School Board of the School District of Cassville, Grant County, Wisconsin, that the revenues included in the School District budget be authorized to exceed the revenue limit specified in Section 121.91, Wisconsin Statutes, by $200,000 for the 2008-2009 school year, $300,000 for the 2009-2010 school year, $400,000 for the 2010-2011 school year, $600,000 for the 2011-2012 school year and $800,000 for each of the 2012-2013, 2013-2014 and 2014-2015 school years (for a total of $3,900,000) for nonrecurring purposes consisting of paying the costs of maintaining the educational programs, facilities and equipment of the District.

Result

Passed, with 513 "yes" votes and 103 "no" votes.
