Charles E Rendlen, III was a bankruptcy judge for the United States bankruptcy court, Eastern District of Missouri. He was appointed on May 23, 2006. Rendlen retired at the end of his term on May 22, 2020.[1]

Due to the court's heavy caseload, Rendlen served as a visiting judge for the Central District of California Bankruptcy Court.[2][3]

Education

Rendlen earned a bachelor's degree from William Jewell College and a J.D. from the University of Missouri.[4]

Career

Before joining the bankruptcy court in 2006, Rendlen worked as a general practice litigator for 28 years. During that time, he was the managing partner of the Rendlen Law Firm for 13 years. Three years before becoming a judge, Rendlen was appointed as the U.S. trustee for Missouri, Nebraska, and Arkansas. During his judicial tenure, Rendlen was appointed as a pro tem member of the Eighth Circuit Bankruptcy Appellate Panel.[5][6]
