Wood began his career in 1995 as a sole practitioner in Yonkers, NY. In 1997, he left this position to work as an associate attorney for the law firm of Banks, Curran, Keefe & Spolzino, LLP. In 1999, he became Counsel to state Senator Nicholas A. Spano (35th District). He worked in that capacity through 2005. He also worked as a sole practitioner again from 2001 to 2005. He became a judge of the Yonkers City Court in 2006. He then joined the Supreme Court in 2010.
Wood was elected to the court in November 2009.
