Charles Wyrick is a Democratic member of the Oklahoma State Senate, representing District 1. He was first elected to the chamber in 2004.

Wyrick is currently serving as Assistant Minority Floor Leader. He previously held the position of State Senate Minority Whip. From 2007-2008 Sen. Wyrick was appointed as Democratic Whip.

Biography

Wyrick's professional experience includes working and operating his family dairy farm that he started in 1980, serving on the Board of Directors of the Ottawa County Conservation District and serving as a representative of the Southeast Council of Dairy Farmers of America.[1]

Wyrick ran in the 2012 election for Oklahoma Senate District 1. Wyrick ran unopposed in the Democratic primary on June 26. Wyrick was unchallenged in the November 6, 2012 general election after his opponent Michael Romero (R) withdrew from the race in late July.[2][3][4][5][6]
