Campaign website

Dargis' campaign website stated the following:

Reduce Gas Prices

Energy independence is critical to the national security of our country and the financial security of the families of Illinois. Extreme policies of the current Democrat administration have led to dependence on foreign energy and unprecedented fuel costs, causing hardship for working men and women of our district. I’ll bring my experience as a nuclear engineer and fight for common-sense policies that enable safe, environmentally sound energy production here at home to relieve the financial burden on Illinois families, drive economic growth, create jobs, and keep our country secure.

Cut Inflation

Extreme energy policies and reckless fiscal policies in Washington have led to the highest levels of inflation in 40 years, a cancer that eats at the American Dream, destroying the value of savings and putting strain on American families just trying to stay afloat. I know how to lead and grow a business and to balance a budget, and also know what it is like to live paycheck to paycheck, worried about the uncertainty of whether the next check will come in before the bills are due. I’ll always put the working families of Illinois first, fighting to bring inflation under control and against special interests taking the hard-earned tax dollars of the women, men, and families of Illinois.

Lower Crime

The safety of our communities is the foundation of society, allowing us to live, work, educate our children, and achieve the American Dream. “Defund the Police”, lax prosecution, and extreme policies that hamstring law enforcement while putting criminals back on the streets have made us less safe while emboldening criminals. I’ll fund our law enforcement agencies to provide better training and more resources to get crime under control and keep our streets, our children, and our communities safe.

Increase Opportunity for all Americans

Every citizen and legal resident is entitled to their shot at the American Dream, regardless of race, creed, or color, and I will fight any effort that denies anyone their rights. I believe Dr. Martin Luther King was right when he said we should be judged on the content of our character rather than the color of our skin, and I will work to bring all Americans together. As the son, grandson, and husband of immigrants, I know firsthand that we can be united by our founding principles and shared values, while still celebrating the amazing tapestry of cultures and experiences in our country.[1]
