Candidate for
U.S. Senate, Delaware
Christine O'Donnell was a potential Republican candidate for the United States Senate in the 2014 elections in Delaware.[1][2] She announced that she would not seek election on June 4, 2014.[3]

When initially questioned about whether she would run in 2014, she responded by saying that she is “not saying no” to challenging Chris Coons, who defeated her by 16 points in 2010.[1] O’Donnell said her final decision depends on a number of factors, including her parents’ health and the results of an ongoing investigation into a potential breach of her tax information.[1]

In a tweet on July 23, 2013, O'Donnell responded to the rumor by tweeting "...To be clear, a 2014 Senate run isn't even on my radar!"[2]

On June 4, 2014, O'Donnell confirmed that she was not running for election to the Senate. She said that she "will be launching two key projects in the next few weeks, yet neither will be a political campaign."[3]
