A City of Oakland Library Improvement Bonds, Measure N ballot proposition was on the November 7, 2006 ballot in the City of Oakland in Alameda County, where it was defeated.

  • Yes: 62,126 (64.2%)
  • No: 34,712 (35.8%) Defeatedd

To pass, Measure N required a 2/3rds supermajority vote.

The ballot question was, "To construct a new Main Library at the Henry J. Kaiser Convention Center and to acquire land and construct new branch library facilities and to renovate and expand branch library facilities, shall the City of Oakland issue $148,000,000 in bonds?"
