A City of Placentia Utility Users Tax, Measure W was on the November 2, 2010 ballot for voters in the City of Placentia in Orange County.[1] It was approved.

Measure W did not raise taxes or increase city revenues. Rather, it updated the language of the city's current utility users tax ordinance to ensure that it was fully legal for the city to continue taxing telecommunication and digital and cellular devices.

Placentia obtained $2.6 million a year from its utility tax in 2010. $800,000 of that was from the tax it collects on telecommunications, digital and cellular devices.

The city's utility users tax rate at the time of the election was 3.5%. That rate did not change with the approval of Measure W.
