Text of measure
|| Charter Amendment Establishing Process For Appointing And Removing City Attorney
The question on the ballot:
|| Shall the City amend the City Charter to include the process for appointing and removing the city attorney?
The City Council currently hires a
city attorney to represent the City in legal matters.
The city attorney is appointed and removed by the
Council; therefore, the city attorney reports directly
to the City Council. This addition to the Charter
recognizes the City’s current practice.
