A City of Yakima Street Overlay and Reconstruction Fund Charter Amendment, Proposition 1 ballot question was approved on the August 6, 2013, election ballot by voters in the city of Yakima in Yakima County, which is in Washington.

This measure amended the City of Yakima Charter to establish a fund dedicated to street overlay and reconstruction. This fund was designed to be provided for through contributions of not less than $2 million per year from the general fund budget of the city.[1]

Question on the ballot:

Proposition No. 1 concerns an amendment of the City of Yakima Charter. This measure amends Charter Article VI adding new Section 8 creating a dedicated street overlay and reconstruction fund, funded annually in the amount of no less than Two Million Dollars from the general fund budget, adjusted annually in accordance with consumer price index, and providing that expenditures from such fund be limited to such street overlay and reconstruction.
