A Claybanks Township Fire Levy Renewal measure was on the August 7, 2012 ballot in the township of Claybanks, which is in Oceana County.

This measure sought to renew the current fire levy which is set at a rate of $.75 per $1,000 of assessed value for a further four years in order to continue to pay for fire protection services in the township. It was approved.

Text of measure

The question on the ballot:

Shall the Township of Claybanks renew the previously voted millage of three quarters (.75) mill (75 cents per $1,000 of taxable value) for levy within the township for the four year period of 2013 through 2016 inclusive for the purpose of providing fire protection services within the Township? It is estimated that this millage will generate in the first year of levy the sum of $39,229.19.[1][2]
