Three School District Levy Addition measures were on the November 8, 2011 ballot in the school districts of Cleveland Heights, Cuyahoga Heights and Garfield Heights which are in Cuyahoga County.

Two of the three measures were defeated

The Cleveland Heights-University Heights measure sought to add to the current school levy by a rate of $.69 per $100 of assessed property value for a continuing period of time in order to further pay for current expenses in the district.

Cleveland Heights-University Heights

The question on the ballot:

An additional tax for the benefit of the Cleveland Heights-University Heights City School District for the purpose of current expenses, at a rate not exceeding 6.9 mills for each one dollar of valuation, which amounts to 69 cents for each one hundred dollars of valuation, for a continuing period of time, commencing in 2011, first due in calendar year 2012.[3]

Cuyhoga Heights

The question on the ballot:

An additional tax for the benefit of the Cuyahoga Heights Local School District for the purpose of current expenses at a rate not exceeding 6.9 mills for each one dollar of valuation, which amounts to 69 cents for each one hundred dollars of valuation, for a continuing period of time, commencing in 2011, first due in calendar year 2012.[3]

Garfield Heights

The question on the ballot:

Shall a levy be imposed by the Garfield Heights City School District for the purpose of providing for the emergency requirements of the school district in the sum of $3,900,000 and a levy of taxes to be made outside the ten-mill limitation estimated by the county auditor to average 9 mills for each one dollar of valuation, which amounts to 90 cents for each one hundred dollars of valuation, for a period of five years, commencing in 2011, first due in calendar year 2012?[3]
