There was a Cody Conservation District Tax Increase measure on the November 2 ballot in Park County for voters in the Cody conservation district.

This measure was defeated

  • YES 1,954 (28.45%)
  • NO 4,510 (65.66%)Defeatedd[1]

This measure sought to raise the property of residents within the district to about $10.50 per year of additional taxes. Currently the district does not get outside funding from the county budget, so the money was needed to ensure the district is able to function. It was estimated that the new levy would have raised about $223,000 a year under current assessed value. Previous attempts to initiate a levy had also failed.[2]
