Colby School Maintenance Referendum (2008)

The Colby School Maintenance Referendum was a school bond issue on the September 9 ballot in the School District of Colby, which is in Clark and Marathon counties. The purpose of the referendum was to issue debt in the amount of $2,550,000, with the additional funds going to the school budget. The additional funds will be used for general maintenance of school district buildings.

Text of measure

Be it resolved by the School Board of the School District of Colby, Clark and Marathon Counties, Wisconsin, that there shall be issued pursuant to Chapter 67 of the Wisconsin Statutes, general obligation bonds in an amount not to exceed $2,550,000 for the public purpose of paying the cost of repairing, replacing and maintaining school district buildings, grounds and facilities and acquiring related equipment


Passed: 696 voted "yes" and 287 voted "no."
