There is a current petition drive to protest the Colombian Re-Election Referendum which is currently being tested by the Colombian courts for constitutionality.

The collective group called Alianza Ciudadana is the main force behind the protest of this referendum which seeks to allow the current president to have a third consecutive term. They cite that the referendum in not constitutional and should not be allowed to be enacted as law. The main point being driven by this group is to ensure that the court, while reviewing, sees that it is unconstitutional and will be rejected. The voice of the people reflect this opinion as well. Current Colombian law states that a president cannot run for more than one term.[1]
