A Colorado Care and Protection of Livestock Animals Initiative did not appear on the November 4, 2014 ballot in Colorado. A variety of potential initiated state statutes and initiated constitutional amendments, numbered initiatives 97-102, were submitted for review and comment by the state, but were later withdrawn. These measures would have ranged from prohibiting bovine tail docking to repealing the exemption for accepted animal husbandry practices used in the care of companion and livestock animals from the animal cruelty statutes.[1][2]
